A liquid facelift is a combination of treatments that work together to replace the need for a surgical face lift. We customize your treatment plan to include multiple approaches that compliment each other so as to give you better results than could be had with any single treatment on its own.

Starting in our mid-20s, collagen and elastin begin to break down, causing our skin to wrinkle and lose its elasticity. Sofwave™ is a clinically proven, non-invasive approach to remodeling collagen, which improves facial lines and wrinkles and a lifting effect to the eyebrows, neck, and submental region.
Using proprietary Synchronous Ultrasound Parallel Beam SUPERB™ technology, ultrasound energy precisely passes through the skin’s surface (the epidermis), heating the mid-dermal tissue at just the precise depth and temperature to rejuvenate collagen fibers and improve the overall appearance of the skin.

At Dr. John Laura’s clinic, we pride ourselves on a balanced approach to fillers and toxin injectable treatments. The goal is to restore a natural youthful look, not to look like you’ve “had work done”.
We use strategic combinations and placements of botulin toxins and various densities of hyaluronic acid fillers. Each injection has a specific use.
Botulin toxins are used to relax dynamic lines and wrinkles – those which are caused by years of muscle movements “creasing” the skin. This generally pertains to the upper 1/3 of the face; the forehead, crows feet and frown lines.
Dermal fillers are used to replace lost volume, reduce static lines and enhance the structure of areas that you want to look stronger such as a cheek bone area or the jaw line.
Our parent’s generation may have resigned themselves to the futility of attempting to age gracefully. But they didn’t have the tools and techniques we have now to do something about how we look as we age.
Gone are the days when the only way to erase overt and dramatic signs of aging was plastic surgery. Modern techniques in the use of botulin toxin and hyaluronic acid fillers as well as other ancillary treatments such as laser resurfacing mean that we can make a huge difference in the way you look as exemplified by the patient pictured here.
Although drastic changes to the nose typically require a surgical approach, we can create noticeable changes the the shape of the nose through combinations of filler and thread lift.
The nose is the focal point of the face, and for many, the first thing they notice when they see someone. If you feel like your nose is getting the wrong attention, there are options for making a change that you’ll love.
As the injection is limited normally to the sides and top of the nose rather than the tip or the base, the results can make the nose look smaller in the frame of the face and more proportional. This option is perfect for someone who wants to fix issues like a flat nose bridge or an ill-defined nose tip. The provider is able to better sculpt the nose precisely, reduce dents and minimize the appearance of a bump on the bridge. Because of the materials used, a filler nose lift is able to lift the nose tip better than a thread lift and add height to the bridge. It is also ideal for correcting a prior surgical procedure to redefine your appearance.
Filler can be combined with thread lift to affect the tip of the nose or the length of the spine. Using thread lifts for the nose has come to be nick-named the “lunchtime nose job” as it can be performed in less than an hour and needs minimal downtime for recovery. A local anesthetic is used to numb the area and fine threads are placed along the bridge of the nose under the skin. The threads break down and are absorbed by the body in 6 to 8 months. The threads have been used in surgical procedures for the past 3 decades, so they’re very safe. Results can last 1 to 2 years.

Dr. John Laura was one of the first in Southern California to begin combining bio-filler and plasma gel with other more traditional body contouring and skin tightening / lifting techniques.
Plasma Gel Bio-filler is an organic alternative to synthetic fillers like hyaluronic acid that has many advantages over traditional fillers. It is a safe and minimally invasive treatment that can help you achieve the results of a facelift without having to undergo surgery. This relatively new treatment has exploded in popularity recently because of its proven safety and lack of side effects and risks. In addition to common uses on the face and neck, it can also be used to rejuvenate hands, aid in the lifting of the buttocks, and as a filler, it can be used to add volume anywhere on the body it is lacking.
Our technology for skin tightening uses a combination of Multi-Polar Radio Frequency and Pulsed Electro Magnetic Fields. The two technologies work in unison to safely and comfortably heat the tissue under the surface of your skin, which encourages the body to produce more collagen and elastin fibers. This process results in firmer, smoother skin that looks noticeably more youthful on the surface.
A body thread lift utilizes thread lift technology now used for non-surgical facelifts and brings that same technique to enhancing the body. While some patients may require surgery to achieve their cosmetic goals, many can enjoy a lifted, more attractive look with a non-invasive body thread lift.
This technique can work in tandem with our other treatments.
In some cases, we may also combine Bio-filler and Plasma Gel for additional volume. No other clinic in the area currently offers this. Bio-filler with Plasma Gel is known as an “autologous aesthetic procedure”. The procedure uses a patient’s own cells or tissue. In this case, the gel is mixed with your own blood and then injected into the problem area(s) to reinvigorate and lift parts of your face and neck that have lost volume, and/or to target very fine lines and wrinkles. The treatment is also suitable for hands.
